New Synthetic Green for Mandurah Bowling Club

Following a comprehensive study by a select Green’s Committee consisting of Ian Foster  Neil Richardson Phil Adams & Peter Urich on what replacement was needed for the Club’s defunct “D” Green an all embracing report edited by Ian Foster outlining the options available was circulated to all Club Members. Following a meeting of Members on Sunday 16th May a vote was conducted to determine their choice of bowling surface. The unanimous outcome was a sand filled synthetic green. Following this decision negotiations are under way with the preferred contractor Evergreen Synthetics on the type of synthetic & the preparatory work required before laying the green. We will keep all members informed on the progress of these negotiations. The funding for the whole project was possible due to a meeting between the then Club President Aled Williams & the Member for Mandurah David Templeman followed with a another meeting again with Aled & the Green’s Committee. The funding hopefully will be available late June or early July.
